About Door Breaching

Door Breaching is a free browser game about one simple question: what happens when you hit a door with something?

You pick a door, from a paper shoji screen up to a bunker blast door. Then you pick a tool, from a polite knock and a rubber chicken up to an orbital laser and a small asteroid. Then you find out. Some combinations are surgical. Some take 300,000 hits. Some leave a crater where the zip code used to be.

Why it exists

It started as a joke about overkill and turned into a small physics toy with a real damage model behind it. Armor and penetration decide whether a tool does full damage or a sad fraction of it, and the game rates you on how efficient (or how excessive) you were. The Field Guide explains all the numbers.

How it's built

The whole game is plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript. No downloads, no plugins, no account. The door art is drawn live on a canvas and every sound effect is generated in your browser, so the page stays small and loads quickly on a phone.

It's a cartoon

Everything here is silly on purpose. Nothing in the game is instructions for anything in real life. If you're locked out of a real door, call a locksmith. They have better tools than a baguette.
